I am a Norwegian student who have enjoyed to stay in this university. There are several  advantages, because the size of the institution is rather modest, in a Chinese context, it is  very easy to feel at home. It is very easy to get around at the campus, all the training facilities are easily reachable by foot within minutes, and it is a really friendly and intimate atmosphere, compared with many other universities in China. 
     In CUPES, the classes are small, and the language-students progress at a very great speed, and  the classes are held just opposite the dorms. The library has a study-hall, and its also just one minute away. All the sports/ training facilities are just a few meters away, they are clean and well equipped. The Chinese students are very easy to get in touch with, and I experienced that they are more than willing to help foreigners, and befriend them.
    The university is rather centrally situated, so it is easy to get around. Sometimes the university arranges trips and excursions too. The environment for learning is very good, the administration is making a huge effort to let the students thrive, and everyone can feel safe there. I am very glad to have stayed in CUPES. When I left, I had good memories, and a bunch of amazing Chinese friends.
